WHAT IS CHANGE FOR CHARITY
This is a community driven fundraising initiative designed to facilitate the connection between those inclined to give and charitable organizations who can make a difference.
WHY START CHANGE FOR CHARITY
Most community members are well intentioned but access to giving isn't always easy. Change For Charity makes the giving easier.
One might think that the size of their donation will not make a difference – BUT IT WILL!
A little help goes a long way. Together we can make a difference.

WHEN DOES ONE GIVE
At the time of checkout at any of the six Ram's Supermarket locations in St. Kitts or Nevis, or at Ram's Duty Free in Port Zante.
A customer will have the opportunity, if so inclined, to donate EC$5 to the charity of their choosing from the limited selection displayed close to checkout. They simply ask the cashier to add this charity's amount to their bill during checkout. The amount is included in the total that they pay. The donation will show up as an item on their bill.
A person can choose to give in multiples of $5 and can also choose to give to more than one charity. Giving can be done once, periodically or as often as the customer chooses. Giving is not mandatory and is only added to the customers bill at their request. The cashiers will not solicit donations from customers.
THE SELECTION OF CHARITIES PROCESS
Within our Federation there are many worthy charitable groups and organizations. It is important that an opportunity be given to all interested in registering. To be fair each Charity must successfully complete the registration process.
HOW DOES EACH CHARITY RECEIVE THEIR DONATIONS
It is the responsibility of each participating charity to promote this fund-raising opportunity through their own methods and channels.
At the end of each quarter a cheque for 100% of the contributions donated will be prepared for collection by each charity.
A quarterly giving summary will be published.
